Hal Joseph Hollembeak, 66, passed away July 10, 2022, at his home in Great Bend. He was born on May 26, 1956, in Great Bend, to Roy and Twylah (Schmidt) Hollembeak. He married Cindy Coldwater on Aug. 6, 1983, in Great Bend. 

A lifetime Great Bend resident, Hal worked in maintenance for USD 428 and was also a Great Bend Rec Umpire. He was a member of Central Baptist Church of Great Bend. He enjoyed hunting in his younger years and was an avid sports fan, especially the Kansas City Royals and Chiefs. His favorite player of all time was Mickey Mantle. Hal especially loved coaching his daughters’ ball teams when they were younger.  

Survivors include, his wife, Cindy Hollembeak of the home; two daughters, Sara Renee Ford and husband Chris and Ashlei Dawn Hollembeak all of Great Bend; a brother, Bruce Hollembeak and wife Jeanne of Lee’s Summit, Mo.; and a sister, Paula Laudick of Wichita. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Brenda Royce; and a brother-in-law, Ron Laudick. 

The family will greet friends from 5 to 7 p.m., Thursday, July 14, 2022, at Bryant Funeral Home. Memorial Service will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, July 15, 2022, at Bryant Funeral Home, with Chaplain Jeff Johnson presiding. Memorials have been designated to the Heartland Cancer Center or Kindred Hospice, in care of Bryant Funeral Home. Condolences may be sent and notice viewed at www.bryantfh.net
